Join CHPA at the 2008 Annual Conference

and help support the local chapter of the non-profit charity STANDUP FOR KIDS!

This year, CHPA will have multiple fundraising events for STANDUP FOR KIDS.  With your help and support, CHPA can provide much needed supplies and donations to assist the charity in helping homeless, at-risk youth and street kids in Las Vegas.

About StandUp For Kids:

STANDUP FOR KIDS is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded in 1990 to help rescue homeless and at-risk youth. With national headquarters in Houston, Texas, STANDUP FOR KIDS is run almost entirely by volunteers, and has established more than thirty outreach programs in fifteen states.  There are more than 7,000 volunteers nationwide dedicated to the rescue of homeless and street kids.  STANDUP FOR KIDS has been recognized for excellence by the White House, the U.S. Justice Department, and various other organizations and offices. STANDUP FOR KIDS NEEDS YOUR HELP!  Both in serving the kids already on the streets in Las Vegas and in preventing more kids from running to the streets.

Leaders from STANDUP FOR KIDS have committed to attending our charitable events and will be on hand to receive the donations that CHPA Members have raised.

Three Ways You Can Help:

CHPA is offering three different ways members can help STANDUP FOR KIDS.  We encourage you to participate in one of these events or all of them if you are able.  Your donations are tax deductible and you will be given a receipt. 

CHPA Fun Run/Walk

On Tuesday, February 19, at 6:30 a.m., a Fun Run/Walk has been scheduled.  The entrance fee is $25 and this includes a T-shirt and your participation in the run/walk.  All proceeds from the entrance fee will be donated to STANDUP FOR KIDS.  This is a good way to get up in the morning and get energized for the conference.  Begriming and ending at The Lodge (JW Marriott Spa), the Fun Run/Walk will wind among the palm-lined gardens, expansive green lawns and interwoven streams.  Whether by pool or flower-lined garden path, the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort offers 54 acres of luxurious settings for our Fun Run/Walk.  Please pre-register for this event by filling out the waiver form and registration form with payment.  You may register on-site for this event as well. Tower of Excellence Awards Event - Memories for Sale

On Wednesday, February 20, while celebrating your successes and those of your peers, you will have the opportunity to purchase images shot by a professional photographer of people and events at this year's conference.  A professional photographer will be on hand to shoot candid images at various events during the conference.  These images will be available for purchase and all proceeds will be donated directly to STANDUP FOR KIDS.  CHPA Staff will also be on hand to take orders if purchasing multiple prints.  Again, your donations are tax deductible and you will be given a receipt for your records and tax purposes.

If you are unable to participate in any of the above events, please consider making a donation on behalf of yourself or your company.  Any amount will help the at-risk youth of Las Vegas and STANDUP FOR KIDS.  This organization is very excited to have CHPA supporting their cause and we would like to do whatever we can to help them reach their goals.
