About CHPA

Habitat for Humanity

CHPA supports Habitat for Humanity as their charity of choice, coordinating member time and financial resources to support local areas in which CHPA holds events. Habitat for Humanity's mission to house those in need connects to the corporate housing industry's focus on providing housing.

Opportunities to help at the 2012 Annual Conference

  1. Finish the Habitat Home! There is a floorplan of a Habitat home at the Registration Desk. Through your donations, you’ll help purchase the various items that go into completing a house. Promote your brand and write your company name on the item that you purchase. Your donations will help a family make their house a home!
  2. 50/50 Ticket - CHPA will be selling tickets for a 50-50 split at the Tower of Excellence Awards event. Proceeds from ticket sales will be split 50-50 between the winning ticket drawn and Habitat for Humanity Miami.
  3. Buy a Piece of Havana! To complete your white outfit for Havana Nights, purchase a white fedora hat, a white flower for your hair or a hand-rolled cigar. Proceeds from the sale of these items support Habitat for Humanity Miami.
  4. Direct Donations - Direct donations to Habitat for Humanity through CHPA are always welcome. Forms are available at any time at the Registration Desk.

We combine members’ generosity to impact Habitat for Humanity’s efforts as realistically as possible.  Below are a few examples of how even small amounts result in real help to real people.

  • $10 = Box of Nails
  • $35 = Roof Shingles
  • $50 = Low Flow Toilet
  • $75 = Window
  • $100 = Kitchen Sink
  • $150 = Front Door
  • $500 = Siding
  • $1000 = Wallboard
  • $2000 = Flooring

CHPA collects donations at all CHPA events or can facilitate your gift to Habitat for Humanity.

Thank you to the 2011 Wall Build volunteers!  Through the time and generousity of those that contributed, CHPA was able to biuld enough walls for an entire Habitat home!
