About CHPA

Insurance Housing Providers Alliance (IHPA)

Insurance housing providers offer temporary housing services that include hotel, furnished and unfurnished apartments and single-family homes, mobile homes and RVs. These services are provided to insurance companies and emergency crews for policyholders that have been displaced, as well as for catastrophe teams.

IHPA Special Interest Group (SIG)
SIGs are made up of members who have come together around specific business practices or products.  The IHPA SIG is the first of its kind in CHPA. All IHPA SIG members are CHPA members and have the expertise with this specialty to partner with companies to place clients in the best possible housing solution for their unique situation.

IHPA SIG members came together to:

  • Create a forum for insurance temporary housing providers to discuss and establish industry best practices and how they can best serve their clients within the insurance industry.
  • Develop and grow relationships with CHPA members and utilize their services for the insurance industry.
  • Foster a sense of association, discussion, and community in our industry in order expand the market and to help all members thrive.
  • Create more awareness within the insurance industry, potential business partners and to the consumer.
  • Keep members informed of industry-wide issues dealing with rental laws, housing market, insurance company regulations, etc.
  • Define common challenges and work together to seek solutions to those challenges
