Taxes

NY S.B. 6177 - Extends provisions of chapter 105 of the laws of 2009 enabling the county of Albany to impose and collect taxes on occupancy of hotel or motel rooms in Albany county.

MD -  A special session on gambling expansion begins Thursday, August 9. NC - The Republican dominated state legislature will not get a chance to override any more of Gov. Perdue's (D) vetoes, because the Governor on Wednesday signed or allowed to become law without her signature all of the remaining bills on her desk.
