Corporate Housing Professional Re-certification Requirements

Congratulations
on being one of the first Certified Corporate Housing Professional
(CCHP) in the industry. To maintain your certification, you
must earn continuing education units or CEUs. Below summarizes
your recertification opportunities |
Requirements
CCHPs are required to
earn 24 CEUs every three years to maintain their certification.
If you sat for the first adminstration of the exam, you are
only required to get 16 CEUs over the next two years. You
must earn your CEUs by December 31, 2009 to maintain your certification.
Opportunities to Earn CEUs
There are many opportunities
to earn CEUs through participation in industry events:
- CHPA Conference attendance = 10 CE Credits per year
- CHPA Network Connections attendance = 2 CE Credits per event
attended
- CHPA Board Member = 5 CE Credits per year
- CHPA Committee Chairs = 4 CE Credits per year
- Active Committee Participation = 3 CE Credits per year
- Participation in other Organization’s Events or classes
= 3 CE Credits per event/day of multiple day events
- NAA/ERC Convention = 5 CE Credits per convention
- Classes Taught (or speaking at CHPA/other related organization
events) = 3 CE Credits
- Articles Published = 3 CE Credits
- CHPA Round Table Facilitator = 2 CE Credits
- CHPA Facilitator for a Network Connect event = 3 CE Credits
How
to Apply
To apply for re-certification,
you must submit a CCHP re-certification form with all supporting
documentation to the CHPA office. The forms will be available
on this site in the future. Once re-certified, you will maintain
your CCHP designation for an additional 3 years and a new certificate
will be mailed to you.
