needs. Among individuals within the corporate housing industry,
this designation offers a mark of distinction that offers a wide
range of benefits.
How
is the CCHP program governed?
The
CCHP program is overseen by the CHPA Education Committee. The committee,
comprised of corporate housing professionals, has compiled the content
for the CCHP exam. They volunteer their time to ensure creditability
and validity of the program.
Who
is eligible for the CCHP?
- Those who hold
a high school diploma or GED
- Must have a
minimum of two years experience in the corporate housing or related
industry (e.g., hotels, property management, real estate, relocation)
- Must read and
sign the CHPA Code of Ethics Statement
What
is the cost for exam at the 2007 Conference?
The
examination fees are $400 for CHPA members and $500 for non-members.
A Study Guide (free of charge) is available directly from CHPA for
members. There is a fee of $195 for non-members. Exam fees and study
guide fees must be submitted with the application.
When
is the examination?
The
initial exam will be offered in conjunction with the CHPA 2007 Annual
Conference in San Antonio, Texas . There will be two exam times
on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
– 3:00 p.m. You will be assigned a time when you register for the
exam.
How
is the exam assessed?
The
examination has 100 multiple-choice questions to be completed in
two hours and tests three domains of knowledge:
Operations
Financial Management
Marketing and Sales
Who
writes the CCHP exam?
CHPA
developed the certification exam in conjunction with nationally
recognized subject matter experts, and under the guidance of psychometricians
(experts in test development). This team approach ensures that both
the exam contact and format are statistically accurate and valid.
If
I pass the examination, will I be recognized for my achievement?
Each
person who obtains the CCHP Certification will be indicated in the
online and printed Membership Directory and highlighted in CHPA
communications to the industry. You will also receive a letter of
achievement and a certificate suitable for framing to proudly display
your commended achievement.
What
if I need to retake the exam?
Candidates must wait a minimum of six months between exams.
Candidates are allowed to take the exam three times in succession.
If candidate do not pass three exams, they must wait a minimum of
one year before taking the next test examination.
Additional Study Guide materials will be purchased at the candidate's
discretion. All costs for materials will be borne by the candidate.
Retake exam fees will be determined annually and will cover direct
costs associated with the exam.
