What is coming up for CHPA members?

Do you share our passion for the corporate housing industry? Are you interested in learning more about current trends? Join us for a unique networking opportunity over lunch.

Network Connections events are informal meetings that occur more frequently throughout the year.  They offer you the chance to learn and discuss market trends and issues, as well as the opportunity to connect with other corporate housing professionals in the area.  The cost for attending these events is FREE. 

Held in partnership with local CHPA members in each area, these networking opportunities are open to both CHPA members and non-members.

Summaries From Past Network Connection Events

Minneapolis, MN - October 19, 2007

The Minneapolis Network Connection was held Friday 10/19 in Minneapolis. There was great discussion by the attendees and goals for the next meeting were set as well as discussion on best practices. One suggestion to implement was to create a website that all Minneapolis members can access so each of us can post availability, job openings, specials, etc. This would be a great easy way for all of us to stay connected and help fill each other's vacancies. CORT Furniture offered to hold a meeting for our Operations Teams on the topic of bed bugs so we can be as educated and proactive as possible on this important topic. We also discussed inviting regional and property managers of partnered apartment communities to our next meeting so that we can strengthen our relationships with this key part of our business. We are also working on giving a presentation at the next Minneapolis Apartment Owners Meeting as well as petitioning the Minnesota Multi Housing Association to include corporate housing awards in 2008. Our next meeting is set for 1st quarter of 2008.

There were eight different provider companies in attendance and a total of 15 people.  Conversation was engaged and people were interested.  They will follow up with everyone with a few notes about the meeting and encourage people to join.  It looks like they have at least two new members who will join CHPA!
