(Boston, MA) February 2, 2016 – Furnished Quarters, the largest provider of temporary furnished apartments in New York City and Boston, today announced that the company has promoted Maria Sorrentino and Ruth Green to Corporate Sales Manager roles for its Massachusetts office. Both Sorrentino and Green joined Furnished Quarters in 2013.
The Boston-based promotions are another sign of the company’s continued expansion of its sales and marketing efforts in the Northeast, according to Annette Clement, Executive Vice President and General Manager at Furnished Quarters in Boston. “Maria and Ruth were both promoted for their outstanding performance, as well as for providing stellar guest service to our clients,” said Clement. “The dedication and hard work that Maria and Ruth put into the business played an important role in helping the company grow over the past three years—particularly in Boston and Cambridge.”
In their new roles, Sorrentino and Green will report directly to Clement. Their responsibilities will include driving new revenue through creative sales techniques and servicing current corporate accounts and their guests.
Sorrentino and Green each bring years of relevant hospitality experience to their new sales roles; Sorrentino additionally brings more than seven years of expertise in the real estate sector. Prior to joining Furnished Quarters as a Reservation and Sales Agent, Sorrentino served as a Relocation Consultant at Coldwell Banker. In her new role as Corporate Sales Manager at Furnished Quarters, Sorrentino will focus on a wide range of market segments, including architecture, computers, consumer products, education, and other industries.
Green joined Furnished Quarters in 2013 as an Administrative Sales Assistant, from which role she was promoted to Sales Coordinator last year, and now receives further recognition with a promotion to Corporate Sales Manager. With over 10 years experience in the hotel industry, Green’s previous companies include the Marriott Copley Place and the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel. Green’s market segments in her new role at Furnished Quarters will include marketing, technology, energy, and healthcare, as well as other industries.
In 2015, Furnished Quarters announced that the company had grown 42 percent in Massachusetts, and completed upgrades on all of its Boston and Cambridge short-term apartments.
