Accommodation booking specialist 3Sixty is relaunching its platform and brand, as well as announcing two new partnerships to offer enhanced duty-of-care features to clients.

3Sixty, which is a part of “alternative” hospitality specialist Reside Worldwide, is being rebranded as a “marketplace”, which uses machine learning alongside human input to create the best accommodation search results for each individual corporate client, traveller and trip.

The platform was originally launched in 2017 as a cloud-based booking platform for Reside clients. It aggregates more than one million properties in 60 countries, including vetting protocols, for business travellers, relocation management companies and travel administrators.

The new marketplace concept will be launched in phases with the supplier side being rolled out first, which will be followed by the client experience before the end of 2022.

3Sixty is also enhancing its duty-of-care capabilities through two partnerships with risk analytics firm Dun & Bradstreet and GeoSure, which specialises in safety and security data.

The link-up with Dun & Bradstreet will regularly “sweep” 3Sixty’s suppliers to identity any potential “red flags” on safety, security, financial health and business practices, which will allow the 3Sixty team to take action when necessary.

Meanwhile, 3Sixty will use an API integration with GeoSure to provide information to guests across a myriad of areas including Covid-19, women’s and LGBTQ safety, health and medical alerts, risk of physical harm, theft and political freedom.

Lee Curtis, CEO of 3Sixty, explained: “The adoption of technology in this industry has moved at a rapid pace over the past couple of years and is partly what made our 3Sixty product so successful.

“We’ve taken the essence of the platform and set it to work at a much faster pace while collecting and sharing much more information, but not comprising our approach to duty of care, which has always set us apart in the industry.

“We’re delighted to reveal these major updates today and then work towards our next goal: expanding and diversifying our supply of accommodation.”

In another move, 3Sixty has also amended it platform to be multicurrency and multilingual following its expansion in the EMEA and APAC regions.

3Sixty is one of the five finalists in the Accommodation Innovation category at the Business Travel Awards Europe 2022 being held in London on 30 September.
