Application Process
In order to be considered for any of the awards above, simply complete the award application form. Below is the schedule for the 2020 awards process.
October 7, 2019 – Award Application Form Opens
November 27, 2019 – Award Application Form Closes at midnight Eastern
December 2, 2019 – January 6, 2020 – Awards Review Period
February 3, 2020 – Award Nominees Announced
February 24, 2020 – Award Winners Announced at 2020 Annual Conference
Below please find each of the awards for which companies may apply. Click on an award to see the related criteria. Criteria for awards are reviewed annually by the Industry Event and Awards Task Force and approved by the Board of Directors. New criteria for 2020 are identified by NEW! and changes are identified in italics. For questions on award criteria, email us at info@chpaonline.org.
This award is given to 4 companies based on the four revenue tiers created under the new dues structure for CHPA
Contribute locally, nationally and internationally to the corporate housing industry
Achieve sound financial results as they pertain to growth through sales and other initiatives
Exceed guest expectations measured by survey results or testimonials from guests/clients using your services
Develop strong relationships with other corporate housing providers
Involvement with other associations (ERC, NAA, etc.) through varying levels of volunteerism
Created a new program or solution to enhance your business, and therefore, the reputation of the corporate housing industry
Written recommendation letters from at least 2 CHPA members in good standing
NEW! CHPA Company Accreditation required
Participate in the Annual Conference (2019) or hosted a Network Connection in 2019
Recommend other suppliers for CHPA membership, resulting in a minimum of one referral sign up for CHPA
Exceed provider/client expectations in your business
Achieve sound financial results (include percentage growth for the company directly from the corporate housing side of their business)
Contribute locally, nationally and internationally to the corporate housing industry
Display a commitment to supporting CHPA financially
Develop strong relationships with other corporate housing providers
Written recommendation letters from at least 2 CHPA members in good standing
Provide a minimum of 12 hours per year volunteering with CHPA
This award is given to 1 Provider and 1 Associate Partner company and recognizes a company that has made significant progress in innovative advancements related to the industry. This can include new products, technology, process improvements, software etc. which solve current industry challenges.
NEW! State the problem that existed
NEW! Summary of the company’s innovation and how it addresses the stated problem
NEW! Explanation of why it is innovative and challenges business “as is”
NEW! Description of how the company has successfully incorporated the innovation into operations, customer experience, sales and marketing or by creating efficiencies or eliminating redundancies for employees
NEW! One key measurable result showcasing the success of the innovation (can include effectiveness, outcome, creativity, or quality)
This award is given to 4 companies based on the four revenue tiers created under the new dues structure for CHPA
Well-defined marketing program/concept objective
Effectively reaches the targeted market
Sample or example of the program/concept, including a cost/benefit analysis
Results and expense of the program (what was produced and whether it was worth the cost)
Level of creativity in campaign theme and execution
Well-defined program/concept objective
Effectively reaches the community or organization (include examples of philanthropic support within the community using innovative approaches)
Sample or example of the program/concept and its effectiveness, outcome, creativity and quality
The success of the program
Description of the impact of gift support and achievements accomplished through the company’s efforts
Examples of encouragement and motivation given to others to take leadership roles for philanthropy and community involvement
Summary of the company’s comprehensive, sustainable program/approach to reducing negative environmental impact
Samples of how the company is incorporating consciousness into operations (unit, offices and community), client education and promotion of social awareness
Example of at least one key initiative/project that has had measurable results, showcasing the success of the program/event; this includes effectiveness, outcome, creativity and quality
A brief explanation of your company’s upcoming year to expand your green progress/program/initiative into other areas of your business
Produces financial results year over year
Exceeds guest expectations, measured by survey results or testimonials from surveys or testimonials using individual’s services
Involvement in CHPA through committee, Board or other volunteerism
Develops strong relationships with other corporate housing providers
Develops collaborative relationships with supplier partners
Involved with other professional association through committee, Board or other volunteerism
Created a new program or solution to enhance their business
Engaged in philanthropic or community engagement (through a company charitable partner, personal connection or through CHPA’s charitable partner, Move for Hunger)
Committee chair, co-chair or multi-committee active member. Active member, defined as approximately one hour per month or 12 hours per year.
Participate in committee meetings and conference calls.
Serve on sub-committees and taking on special projects to meet committee goals and objectives.
Willing to step up and offer additional assistance when needed and follows through on commitments
This award recognizes professionals in the Corporate Housing industry for their long-term history of exemplary service and accomplishments to CHPA and the corporate housing industry. Any CHPA member in good standing with a minimum of ten years’ industry experience may be considered.
Minimum of ten years’ industry experience required.
Involvement in CHPA through committee, Board or other volunteerism.
Engaged in philanthropic or community engagement (through a company charitable partner, personal connection or through CHPA’s charitable partner, Move for Hunger).
Outstanding service to the corporate housing industry.
Display of creativity and perseverance to achieve results.
