Corporate Housing Providers Association Receives 2026 Social Responsibility Excellence Award from MPI Indiana
The Corporate Housing Providers Association (CHPA) has been honored with the 2026 Social Responsibility Excellence Award at the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Indiana Chapter IMPRESS Awards on Thursday, April 23, 2026. The award recognizes an organization that has made a meaningful impact in advancing social responsibility within the meetings and events industry, with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, sustainability and community impact.
CHPA was selected for its ongoing commitment to purposeful philanthropy and community engagement, highlighted by initiatives such as the Matthew R. Was Memorial Legislative Fund Golf Scramble. This program, created in honor of a beloved member and industry leader, has become a cornerstone of CHPA’s efforts to give back while fostering meaningful connections among its members.
“The recognition from the MPI Indiana Chapter affirms the importance of aligning our work with a broader purpose,” said Nick Estrada, CAE, CMP, CHPA CEO. “Our members are deeply committed to creating positive and lasting change, and this award reflects the collective impact of their dedication.”
Through this initiative, CHPA raises funds to support the CHPA Legislative Fund and the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. The program not only generates financial support for critical causes but also raises awareness and encourages active participation from members and industry partners.
At its inaugural event, participation and sponsorship reached record levels, reflecting the strong engagement and generosity of the CHPA community, a momentum that continues to grow year over year. Funds raised directly support research, advocacy and programs that improve the lives of individuals and families impacted by these issues.
“CHPA transformed the loss of a valued member into a lasting tribute that not only honored his memory, but also created a tangible impact for the cholangiocarcinoma community,” said Meredith McGuffage, Community Fundraising Manager with the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. “Their commitment reflects a genuine culture of compassion, leadership and service, extending well beyond their professional mission.”
CHPA was recently recognized as a member of the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation’s Maple Giving Circle, reflecting sustained support and a continued investment in advancing research and patient programs.
CHPA remains committed to expanding its social responsibility initiatives and creating meaningful opportunities for members to give back, guided by its Code of Ethics, which states, “We exercise corporate social responsibility, giving back to the communities in which we operate.” This principle is not aspirational, but evident in the way CHPA members actively support and sustain these efforts.
