[PHOENIX, AZ] December 7, 2021 — Meghan Vost, Owner of AvenueWest Arizona, a provider of managed corporate housing in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tucson, is proud to announce national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council – West, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and federal certification as a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB).

“Emerging from a year of growth and nearly a decade of experience building our business, I’m thrilled to receive the WBENC and WOSB certification for AvenueWest Arizona, which is a franchisee of AvenueWest, also a women-owned business,” said Meghan Vost, owner of AvenueWest Arizona. “It has been a dream of mine to own my own business, especially in an industry heavily-dominated by male leaders, and offer a different level of corporate housing services to our customers and guests. I’m inspired to be a part of a community that recognizes women-owned businesses, provides on-going support and I look forward to giving back and helping other women-owned businesses.”

The certification achievement comes at a time of dynamic change for corporate housing players, like AvenueWest. Unlike the industry at large, AvenueWest grew during the pandemic despite setbacks across the greater travel industry. In October 2021, AvenueWest Arizona’s occupied units were up 54 percent from pre-pandemic levels in 2019. The growth opportunities are poised to continue next year with pent up demand for temporary housing expanding for both families looking for non-traditional single-family homes in corporate housing and the return to business travel alongside delayed relocations. AvenueWest Arizona can provide fully-furnished and turn-key housing for anywhere from a few months to years with a large inventory of three-bedroom and larger homes, suited for families traveling both with children and pets, medical travelers, insurance claim relocations, and traditional corporate clientele. Since being founded in 2013 in Phoenix, AvenueWest Arizona has become synonymous with high quality corporate housing, strong attention-to-detail and deep property management expertise.

The WBENC standard of certification implemented by WBEC-West is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women.

Each year the U.S. government aims to award at least five percent of its contract funds to women-owned small businesses. The WOSB certification by the SBA allows AvenueWest Arizona to stand out among the pool of applicants and also qualifies the firm for government set-asides.
