Renewal Questions

Renewal information, including the renewal form, can be found here.

If a professional holding the CCHP certification cannot meet the renewal requirements by their deadline, they can apply for inactive status. Inactive status provides CCHPs with an extension up to one year to meet the renewal requirements. As an approved inactive CCHP, a professional cannot use the CCHP credential. Requests for additional time must be approved. To apply for inactive status, CCHPs must complete the appropriate form and pay the inactive status fee. Applications must be received three months prior to the end of the certification period for the request to be honored. While in the Inactice status, CCHPs may recertify by earning CEs or by retaking the examination. To reactivate the CCHP from Inactive Status, the CCHP must meet all the re-certification eligibility requirements in effect at that time. Reactivation will be approved by meeting the renewal requirements, payment of appropriate fees and/or by re-examination. The CCHP certification may be reactivated at any time during the extension, as long as all renewal requirements are met. All credits must be earned within the one-year extension.
