Corporate Housing Providers Association Receives ISAE STAR Award for Best Individual Event
CHPA is proud to announce that it has received a 2026 STAR Award from the Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE) in the category of Best Individual Event for its 2025 Small Staff Forum.
The ISAE STAR Awards recognize excellence, innovation and outstanding achievement among its member associations. The Best Individual Event award honors a single-day, non-convention event that demonstrates exceptional value and impact for association members through education, advocacy, networking or community engagement.
Held November 10–11, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky, CHPA’s Small Staff Forum was designed specifically for the association’s small staff member companies, which comprise 84% of CHPA’s membership. The event featured volunteer-led educational sessions, peer roundtable discussions, networking opportunities and on-site Certified Corporate Housing Professional (CCHP) exam testing, all tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities facing small business leaders in the corporate housing industry.
“Receiving this recognition from ISAE is a tremendous honor and a testament to the strength of the CHPA community,” said Nick Estrada, CAE, CMP, CEO of CHPA. “The Small Staff Forum was intentionally designed to serve the unique needs of the companies that make up the majority of our membership, and its success reflects the dedication of our volunteer leaders, the engagement of our members and our team’s commitment to creating meaningful experiences. We are especially proud that this event not only delivered exceptional educational and networking value, but also demonstrated the resilience, collaboration and sense of community that define the corporate housing industry.”
The 2025 Small Staff Forum achieved significant growth and impact, with attendance increasing by more than 35% compared to the 2023 event. Attendees rated the event nearly five stars overall, reflecting exceptionally high satisfaction and a strong likelihood of recommending the experience to others.
A hallmark of the Small Staff Forum’s success was its strategic simplicity and resourcefulness. CHPA leveraged existing communication channels and member networks to market the event with zero advertising spend, relied on eight volunteer facilitators rather than paid speakers, and carefully selected venues and partners to maximize attendee experience while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
Programming topics included artificial intelligence, business growth strategies, operational performance and peer-to-peer idea sharing, creating an intimate and highly engaging environment for attendees.
The award also recognizes the resilience and dedication of the CHPA community. Following challenges experienced at the previous Small Staff Forum, the 2025 event successfully reengaged members and reaffirmed the value of in-person connection, professional development and community support.
The Small Staff Forum has become one of CHPA’s signature educational and networking experiences, demonstrating how thoughtfully designed, volunteer-driven programming can create meaningful impact for association members and strengthen the corporate housing industry.
