The ORBIE awards recognize CIO leadership in multiple categories, from mid-sized business to large-scale global enterprises. The awards are presented by the Ohio chapter of the Inspire Leadership Network of CIOs and CTOs established across the country. The rigorous selection and review process included a detailed summary of achievements, a review of technology innovation and business leadership, a CEO recommendation, and interviews by the awards committee of all the nominees. Other finalists in the Corporate category (businesses with up to $500M in revenue) included the chief information officers at the Cleveland Cavaliers, Paycor, the Cincinnati Reds, OCLC, Blanchard Valley Health Systems, and AAA of Ohio.

Dwellworks CEO Bob Rosing credits the Dwellworks team as well but says it’s Smith’s leadership that keeps things moving forward.
