Women of Global Mobility Receives 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status
Established community of more than 5,000 women in global mobility opens the door to sponsorships and a stronger future for its members
Women of Global Mobility (WoGM) announced that it has been recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The designation marks a major step for this organization, which has grown from a small group of peers in 2022 to more than 5,000 women across the global mobility industry.
What nonprofit status means
Nonprofit status gives WoGM a more durable foundation to serve its members. It allows the
organization to work with sponsors and partners more formally, invest more in programming and
keep resources, mentorship and professional development accessible to women at every stage
of their careers.
“When I started Women of Global Mobility, I wanted to build something that would last for the
women in this industry. Getting to 501(c)(3) status took time, patience and a lot of people
believing in the idea, and I’m so happy to say we’re finally here. This lets us do more for our
members and gives organizations a real way to invest in the women who keep global mobility
moving. I’m grateful to everyone who helped get us here, and I’m just as excited about what
comes next,” said Christina Urrutia, President and Founder of Women of Global Mobility.
An invitation to sponsors
With its new status, WoGM is now seeking sponsors who want to support women in the global
mobility industry. Sponsors can help fund events, learning resources and member programs,
and will reach an engaged community of professionals from across the industry. Organizations
interested in sponsorship opportunities can contact sponsorship@womenofglobalmobility.org.
What’s coming next
- WoGM is launching Art in Motion, a silent auction supporting Girls in the Game. This
event celebrates the power of creativity, movement, and opportunity to empower girls
with the confidence, leadership skills and healthy lifestyles they need to thrive. - WoGM has several events remaining in 2026, including two events at the WERC Global
26 conference. - Additional announcements about the organization’s next chapter will follow in the coming
weeks.
