Wichita, KS, May 3, 2022. ExecuStay Midwest, a corporate housing company that operates throughout the central US, has announced that Scott Slagg will be joining the team as a Business Development Manager for the Texas region.

Scott officially joined the team on April 25 but is no novice to the corporate housing industry or ExecuStay Midwest. He began his career with ExecuStay Midwest in 1992 when the company was known as Suite Options. After two years, he made the jump to Oakwood Worldwide as an account executive, and over the next 27 years, Slagg worked his way through the ranks at Oakwood – eventually, to National Account Manager in 2002.

When Oakwood acquired the ExecuStay brand from Marriott International, Slagg once again started working in tandem with the ExecuStay Midwest team. He is a familiar face and well-loved presence at ExecuStay and in the corporate housing industry.

“I’ve known Scott for almost 20 years,” said Gabriel Wacker, Vice President of Sales for Transitions Group, the parent company of ExecuStay Midwest. “I’m so glad he’s part of the team now! He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. He’s going to be a great addition to our sales team.”

Scott is looking forward to working with the ExecuStay team again and says, “I enjoyed working with them consistently over the last six years of my career with Oakwood. I look forward to strengthening the sales efforts in the Texas region and growing a core base of B2B clients.”

According to Lynda Najera, Vice President of ExecuStay Midwest, Slagg’s “history of success fits well with our plans in the southern region. We’re excited to have Scott join our team. He brings a tremendous amount of experience in B2B sales.”

Scott emphasizes that his primary focus in the corporate housing industry has always been building long-term relationships with clients. You can often find him entertaining customers on the golf course, and he’ll surely be showing off photos of his first grandchild, due in June. Most importantly, he strives to exceed his clients’ expectations and wants to blow people away with unparalleled service from himself and his team.

Barney Lehnherr, President of Transitions Group, points out that having a “30-year business relationship with our company in the corporate housing industry, Scott has a good understanding of our company. He also understands and embodies our passion for delivering exceptional products to our clients. Scott is a perfect fit for the Business Development Manager position, and above all, he is a perfect fit for our employee ownership culture.”
